TROPICAL DEPRESSION GAMMA

 

Gamma continues to dissipate north of Honduras.

 

The green phase or all clear has been declared.

 

At 9:00 pm the centre of Tropical Depression Gamma was located near 17.2 degrees north latitude and 85.5  degrees west longitude or about 179 miles east by south of Belize City, 170 miles east-southeast of San Pedro, Ambergris Caye and 232 miles east-northeast of Punta Gorda.

 

Gamma is drifting towards the north at about 2 mph, and a turn toward the northeast and east with some increase in forward speed is expected over the next 24 hours.

 

Maximum sustained winds were 30 mph and gamma is dissipating into a remnant low pressure area.

 

This will be the last public advisory issued by the NATIONAL EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ORGANIZATION (NEMO) ON THIS SYSTEM.
