Jul 20, 2008, 06:00 pm

NEMO Headquarters. 20th July 2008.                  At 6:00 p.m. the center of Tropical Storm Dolly was located near latitude

19.3 north...longitude 85.5 west or about 198 miles northeast of Corozal Town, 187 miles east - northeast of San Pedro
Ambergris Caye and 216 miles northeast of Belize City.

The Government of Belize continues to maintain a Tropical Storm Watch for the Northern portion of the country which comprises
of the following areas: Corozal and Orange Walk Districts, and San Pedro Ambergris Caye and Caye Caulker.

A Tropical Storm Watch means that Tropical Storm conditions are possible within the Watch Area within the next 24 hours.

Dolly is moving toward the Northwest near 14 mph.  A Northwestward or West-Northwestward motion is forecast during the next
couple of days...with a gradual decrease in forward speed expected by Tuesday.

The northern portion of Belize can expected to experience gusty winds in excess of 35mph.  Wave swells of about 5 to 6 feet are
expected in the northern coastal waters which can cause beach erosion.

NEMO advises the entire country of Belize to expect heavy rainfall overnight and therefore residents in low lying flood prone areas and
communities near rivers are asked to maintain vigilance monitoring river levels to ensure safety for life and property.

At its 6:00 p.m. meeting NEMO discussed the importance of residence especially in San Pedro and Caye Caulker to remain safely
indoors and not to attempt travelling on the seas during the night.

End.
