NEMO Headquarters, July 20,2008                     At 3:00 p.m. Today the center of Tropical Storm Dolly was located near latitude 18.9 north...longitude 85.0 west or about 224 miles east-northeast of Corozal Town, 205 miles northeast of San Pedro Ambergris Caye and 230 miles northeast of Belize City.

NEMO informs the public that the Government of Belize maintains a Tropical
Storm Watch for the Northern portion of the country which comprises
of the following areas: Corozal and Orange Walk Districts, and San Pedro
 Ambergris Caye and Caye Caulker.

A Tropical Storm Watch means that Tropical Storm conditions are possible
within the Watch Area within the next 24 hours.
Dolly is moving toward the Northwest near 14 mph.  A Northwestward or
West-Northwestward motion is forecast during the next couple of days...with
a gradual decrease in forward speed expected by Tuesday.
The northern portion of Belize is expected to experience gusty winds and
wave action of about 5 to 6 feet is expected in the northern coastal waters
which can cause beach erosion.

NEMO advises the entire country of Belize to expect heavy rainfall overnight
and therefore residents in low lying flood prone areas and communities near rivers
are asked to maintain vigilance ensuring safety for life and property.

NEMO informs the public that it has been activated and met this afternoon to
consider necessary actions to be taken.

End.
